During the month of May 2022, Theic Licuado was invited by Calle Libre to participate in our first artist-in-residence program in Ottensheim, Upper Austria.
The artist’s main aim was to work on the technique of oil painting, as Theo had only worked with acrylics for the past few years. In the period of 30 days, Theic was able to dive into the process of oil painting by finishing two oil canvases.
„Last year I was blessed to live in Montevideo with an incredible group of friends, among them Yaya, a very generous and interesting person with whom we shared beautiful moments. Yaya and her house are one entity, one that is difficult to explain but easy to love. Together with Araí Moleri we did a photo session to portray Yaya in her natural habitat.“
Camilo Nuñez is Theic Licuado, one of two of Colectivo Licuado from Uruguay.
The Artist lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
